The International Defence Exhibition IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi, which took place this year from 17-21 February, is one of the most strategically important land, sea and air defence events in the world.

Participating companies, and this time there were more than 1,300 of them from 65 countries, demonstrated developments in precision weapons, autonomous systems and advanced solutions for combat resilience. The geopolitical environment is further pushing manufacturers to find solutions that meet the four main principles of modern weaponry – mobility, autonomy, accuracy and digitalisation.

Modern conflicts show that firepower is no longer determined by the number of projectiles fired – accuracy is critical. The development of precision munitions, guided missiles and artillery with a range of 100+ kilometres is becoming a priority for leading manufacturers.

Drone swarms and hypersonic missiles used in modern military conflicts require multitasking and multifunctionality from air defence systems. If earlier the main task of such a defence system was neutralisation of an enemy aircraft or missile, today air defence systems have completely different requirements. Effective air defence must work on several levels at once: ballistic interception, protection against UAVs, and combating kamikaze drones. Also, high mobility of such systems becomes the key to survival.

IDEX 2025 – offered worthy answers to today’s challenges and demands in the field of defence. Our team at Defence Group s.r.o. already knows what from all the modern diversity will really be an effective answer to your challenges.
